My career in catering started as a waitress in a local restaurant close to my village home. I'd have to say I was addicted to the catering industry from the word go. Working alongside people from diverse backgrounds and meeting with new people everyday suited me and I never looked back. Spending my late teens and early twenties working abroad in the south of Spain and later The Canary Islands, I returned to the UK in 2003 settling in Taunton, Somerset.
My first major challenge was to accept the post of Catering Manager at Hestercombe Gardens in Somerset. This was a step into a new domain, as until then my career had been hotel based for the most part, working in every department possible and learning my trade from the ground up. During my time at Hestercombe, I had the pleasure of being in truly breathtaking and unique surroundings whilst working hard to make it the best venue for weddings and conferences in the area.
